What is your service goal in your restaurant? I hope it is not to satisfy the guests. That just doesn’t get it any more. There is too much competition for basic satisfaction to be enough. Satisfaction is like getting a “C” in hospitality. There is little loyalty with guests that say that your service is “Okay”. I suggest that our service goal should be to exceed guests’ expectations so much that they not only return any time in the area, that they rave about you to their friends and associates. That is getting an “A” in hospitality.
